There is something called Magic the Gathering Forge. It was awesome to see all the old cards I never played with in real life. I started to play it but then ended up stopping but plan to go back someday. If you google, you can probably find a link to it, and there are lots of instructions online about how to get it up and running. There is the 1997 game now commonly referred to as Shandalar. If you try and beat every opponent with every deck, each one of these takes 100s of hours.Ģ. I believe they are all no longer for sale. I only like playing limited in Magic and have never gotten into constructed.
I have occasionally wondered if we should try and set up some sort of MtG league of Watchers - maybe we should consider that, as there are some ways to play free online against others (cockatrice, xmage). I play Magic all the time with my son, but he's heading to college in a few months. I looked into this a few years ago, and there are a fair number of options.
